Has anyone tried Eye Toy Kinetic? What do you think of it? Is it pretty similar to Yourself! Fitness? Does it track your progress like Y!F does?

I tried the game, but it's been a while, so I'm sketchy on the details. I will say that the 6-8 feet or whatever of room that you need in front of your TV is very important... the reason I wasn't able to use it was we only have about four feet. (It uses a wide angle lens that you attach to the eyetoy camera, so it can see your whole body.) That made some of the games impossible, and some way too easy. The games I was able to more or less do were fun, and really got me moving.

If I remember correctly, they do a warm up with a trainer, then the eye toy games, then a cool down. There was a mode that you can set up a fitness program, where it will pick things for you to do every day, or you can set up your own routine a la carte. I don't think there was a "physical exam" like Maya does, I think there was some sort of tracking like weight loss, but I honestly don't remember.

If you have the room for it, it's a nice change from Maya, but I remember reading a review where someone tried Y!F for a while, then switched to Kinetic, and found Maya was better for muscle toning. I didn't try it long enough to weigh in on that debate, though. :) HTH, for what it's worth.

I don't know why my post is set to screen comments. Thanks for the info. I think I definitely need some more variety in my workout. Maybe I'll switch to Eye Toy for just one day a week.
